The storyboard is a visual presentation of the website and the navigation.

Preliminary sketches showing page layout and navigation are created. These are usually done using a graphics program and provide a good preliminary idea of what the finished site will look like and how it will work.

It is critical to work out navigation and design elements at this stage, and to decide on the titles of the sub-pages. Once the site building begins, any changes you request that alter the design may result in a 'ripple' effect and the additional work will be billable. (You will always be notified if this occurs.)

It is important to realize the actual finished site will vary slightly in appearance, although the basic design elements will remain intact. This is because of the necessity to accommodate various browsers - Microsoft Explorer and Mozilla do not interpret html code in exactly the same way, and it is often necessary to compromise to produce a satisfying effect in both. Also, the position of some graphic elements may need to be adjusted due to the differences in the web display.

Once you approve the storyboard design, you will provide any remaining content for the pages, and the actual site construction begins. If you haven't purchased a url, you will need to do so now.
